Yellowstone National park
Yellowstone is a massive park to navigate and see everything in a short few days. Yellowstone National Park is approximately 63 miles from north to south and 54 miles from east to west at its widest points. The park covers a total area of 3,472 square miles. While we did not cover every single mile, we did capture many of the big locations you want to visit and photograph. A big plus was staying in the park, in a cabin, at Canyon Lodge made it a bit easier to execute on trip plan.

Beartooth Scenic Highway
As we left Yellowstone, we decided to head north through the park to take the Beartooth Scenic Highway. This 68 mile byway winds its way through southwest Montana and northwest Wyoming and leads into Yellowstone National Park at its Northeast Entrance. Since opening to automobile travel in 1937, the Beartooth Highway has welcomed visitors worldwide – introducing them to one of the most diverse ecosystems accessible by auto in the United States.
